What happens when Black women are given the space to speak their truth about sexual liberation?
The Pleasure Portal is a multidisciplinary installation, live performance, and digital archive by artist Noleca Anderson Radway that examines the ways perimenopausal BIPOC women reclaim their bodies, desires, and collective truths. Born from an experiment in radical honesty—an intimate exchange of video monologues and voice notes within a trusted circle—the project combines visual art, sound, and storytelling to invite visitors into a profound reconnection with sexuality, longing, and transformation.

THE
EXHIBITION
For a limited time, a traditional Dutch house in Amsterdam will be transformed into a space where whispers, confessions, and laughter are honored.
Running from December 11 through 15th, 2025, the exhibition will guide visitors through seven distinct rooms. Each space is a living “Pleasure Portal”—a layered soundscape born from the sacred, private voice notes of women responding to Noleca’s own video monologues. It is a journey through visual art, sound, performance, and storytelling.
PLEASURE PORTAL LIVE
Beyond the installation, we invite you to an unforgettable 90-minute multimedia performance. PleasurePortal Live transforms the theater into a portal where Black women’s experiences are centered and witnessed.
Guided by the main performer, the audience is established as active witnesses, participating in a “choose your own adventure” journey through curated video archives, personal storytelling, and facilitated dialogue. This is an innovative and intimate performance that reimagines digital connection in a shared, physical space.
Spaces for this unique experience are limited.
MEET THE ARTIST
The Pleasure Portal is created by Noleca Anderson Radway—a Black, Bronx-raised, Gen X mother of three whose move to Amsterdam created the rare space to begin a profound exploration of her own relationship with intimacy, sexuality, and desire.
Noleca is a multimedia artist, pleasure activist, and cultural strategist whose work centers the lives and voices of Black women and femmes. This project is a natural extension of her practice: an invitation into healing, embodiment, and collective imagination, born from her own “love letters” to a circle of Black women who were asked only to be witnessed.
BECOME A CO-CREATOR
The installation will be a once-in-a-lifetime, ephemeral experience. Your support turns it into a lasting legacy.
We are raising €4,000 to professionally document the exhibition from day one, creating the foundation for a permanent digital archive and a feature documentary. This will ensure these vital voices are not only heard today but are preserved for generations.
To thank you for joining us, we have curated a series of meaningful rewards on our Voordekunst campaign. By becoming a co-creator of this archive, you can receive exclusive audio postcards from the heart of the project, join our private “Inner Circle” community, access workshops, and more. You are not just a donor; you are a vital part of this work.
